Our Criteria for selection come in two forms; Nyame biribi Wo Soro and Woforo dua pa a.

Find details below…

PHASE 1:

NYAME BIRIBI WO SORO

“Nyame Biribi Wo Soro” translates to “God, there is something in the heavens”. It is a symbol of hope and inspiration. This ‘Adrinkra’ symbol is a prayer to God requesting He grants a wish.

The “Akans” believe that God is in the heavens to hear prayers, bless His people, and watch over them. They also believe that He is there to ensure that His purposes are fulfilled on earth. This symbol refers to a specific thing, perhaps something that has been requested in prayer, that the speaker looks forward to receiving.

BLESS therefore intends to shine a light of hope to these students who have perhaps prayed for “a saviour” to support them complete their academic journey.

Candidates must satisfy the following:

PHASE 2:

WOFORO DUA PA A

“Woforo dua pa a” translates to when you climb a good tree. This “Adinkra” symbol is one of support, cooperation and encouragement. It is from the “Akan” expression “Woforo dua pa a, na yepia wo,” which means, “When you climb a good tree, you are given a push.” More metaphorically, it means that when you work for a good cause, you will get support.

BLESS wants to send a message of encouragement to young individuals in the Senior High Schools that when they do their best to gain academic excellence, we will offer our support for them to continue their education in any Tertiary Institution. This phase considers prospective students who have graduated from senior and technical high schools.
